Necessity of ILPMS
- - Ordinary Lightning Protection System is needed at least two semi-annual checkings. Especially in summer and rainy season that surge invasion from lightning is frequently occured, we need bonding connection and operation status checking for normal working of protected device.
- - However, lightning arrest facilities are scattered in buildings or in various outdoor sites, such as computer centers with dense telecommunications facilities, electronics, and control devices, residential complexes, automation factories, and outdoor operation faicilites. Due to the limitations of personnel and time, it is impossible to conduct an inspection at an appropriate time.
- - Since for the larger facilities, those consist of more complex power, communication, and signal networks, it is impossible to identity or analyze the inflow path of the brain surge; and also, it is common that we repeat the same damage situation because the follow-up is not properly within the formal range when the surge damage occured.
